Chief designer David Riley and time colleague work scene

David was destined to be a designer in1959, when his fifth grade art teacher submitted a few of his drawings to the University of Buffalo. The University awarded David a two-year scholarship for gifted artists.

At the young age of 11, David began a university-level art education. During his senior year, his artistic talents were again acknowledged with an invitation to join the National Honor Society for the Arts. From this early acknowledgement of his natural artistic ability, David Riley utilized his creative gifts and built an international reputation in furniture design, a passion he loves.
